Does public art matter?

Posted 10 months ago

The 4×4 talks are back in Leeds after nearly 20 years (can it really be that long??)! For those of you too young to remember, they are events around architecture, urban design, the arts, culture and sustainability where speakers from Leeds and further afield share their thoughts around cities, especially ours. I found them to be hugely informative, insightful and downright exciting and they had a massive impact on me and my practice.

Which makes it all the more scary that I’ve been invited to be a speaker for the first event on Thursday 1 February! The theme is ‘A City Alive’ and I’ll be sharing the stage with @tvradiopeg, Ian Todd, Jess Davidson and Mark Johnston @pageparkarchitects, Abigail Scott Paul and Kully Thiari @leeds2023.

The events are free, but booking is required via @leedssocietyofarchitects. Hope to see you there!

Event is hosted by @leedssocietyofarchitects, in conjunction with @leedsbeckettofficial@leedscivictrust and @ribayorkshire
